LESLA Alliance’s Community Impact Awards celebrate individuals whose contributions reflect the legacy, resilience, and community spirit of the Windrush generation.

These awards recognise civic contribution, leadership, creativity and service within Long Eaton, particularly where individuals are inspired by or connected to Windrush heritage. Nominations are open and welcome from across the community.

Whether someone has achieved something visible, supported others behind the scenes, or made a quiet but meaningful difference  their contribution matters.

Legacy is not always loud, but it is always powerful.

Looking ahead, LESLA Alliance plans to develop a broader Long Eaton Pride of Britain style awards programme in 2027, celebrating community contribution across the whole town.
